Completely Irrelevant Yahoo Search Results
I’ve just noticed a new low for Yahoo’s organic results. I just did a brand search for one of my clients, which consisted purely of the clients name, and the first result wasn’t my client, but Yahoo Chat – wtf!

There really is no rhyme or reason as to why this is happening – I’m absolutely baffled. The cached page shows no instances of my client’s name, and I very much doubt it could be link related. All I can think is that perhaps Yahoo are using this strategy to drive traffic to their online portfolio, but that would be really out of order. If you know what’s going on here it’d be good to get your thoughts below.
