Egosurfing – A Personal Challenge to Reclaim My SERP
So I was doing some egosurfing lately, and noticed that in the 2-3 years that I left my blog in state of decay my personal SERP has become extremely competitive. I used to rank top for my name in Google UK, but can now only muster 2nd

I’m now competing with an American football player and the famous American comedian, both of whom have blended search results in my SERP. So I’m going to give myself a personal challenge – I’m going to reclaim the top spot, but not only that, I’m going to try and bump everyone else down a few places (sorry!!!). To be honest, some of this is my own fault – I’ve not been consistent in my use of Jonathan vs Jonny, so that should give me some quick and easy wins if I can manage to change some old pieces of content. Will be very interesting to see if I can do it – I’ll update and let you know how I get on.
