Suduku, also known as Su Doku, or Number Place in America, is a logic puzzle. It's similar in form to a cross word, whereby you are required to solve a puzzle within a square grid. The difference with Sudoku is the fact that logic and reasoning are required to solve the puzzle, whereas cross words often rely on you having a good grasp of the English language.

Sudoku first gained popularity in the UK in 2005, when several major newspapers started publishing the puzzles. Due to their logical approach and fiendish addictiveness, it wasn't long before the British public adopted the puzzle solving sport as the new national hobby.
